Kelly Faetanini’s dresses are classically beautiful, yet always interesting. As the former fashion editor of The Knot, when it came time for my own wedding I knew exactly who to wear! Her blush ombré gown, Eden, managed to feel timeless and at the same time totally on trend.

First off I want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for creating my absolute DREAM DRESS! I tried on more dresses than you could ever imagine (it was awful) because I couldn’t find the dress that had everything. I wanted different but classic, I wanted romantic but fun and this dress had it all. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get married in a blush dress but let me tell you I am glad I did. I think brides have this idea of what they should wear and it shouldn’t be what you should wear it should be what you feel amazing in. I felt amazing in this dress, I felt special, I felt different, and it fit my bubbly personality. Blush should be the new white <3

The Designer

Have you ever cared about something so much that you felt the passion and energy of that very thing, run through your body like electricity? It was something that you thought about constantly and knew it was so important that it gave you purpose? When I discovered the world of weddings at the very young age of 18, I knew it my calling in life. Being a wedding dress designer was my way to touch women around the world. This was so crystal clear that doing nothing else in my life would suffice.

At the age of 19, I created and sold my first wedding gown to a bride in Chicago. The overwhelming feeling of honor and pure joy that I felt seeing how my creation made someone feel so beautiful and happy was a feeling I will never forget. It’s the feeling that motivates me and it has powered me up to this day.

Fashion isn’t an easy industry to get into. After a couple years of relentlessly fighting for a foot in the door in bridal, I became an assistant designer at the renowned Priscilla of Boston bridal brand. I knew I had so much more to offer to brides around the world. I spent everyday proving to everyone around me that I could do just that. At the age of 23, I became the youngest wedding gown designer on the runway at New York Bridal Fashion Week. But I very quickly realized that I never wanted to just design wedding gowns. It was so much more than that for me. I wanted to make a difference and create an impact.

In an aged old industry that hadn’t changed in decades, I felt the frustration of working for a big corporation and the lack of compassion, honesty and trust that encompased the industry. Dressing a woman on her wedding day is one of the most honorable achievements a designer could attain yet that honor felt overshadowed by the politics and bottom line focus in the industry.

In 2012, I knew it was my time to step up and create a brand that truly cared about each and every one of their brides and not just the "sale" of the dress. Anyone can design and sell wedding gowns. But not everyone has the heart and soul with the intentions the way I do.

We welcome you to the Kelly Faetanini family with honesty, trust and an unparalleled customer experience.
